The Merit Center for Sleep Health of Streamwood is Chicagoland’s first free-standing sleep testing center solely dedicated to pediatric and adolescent sleep disorder testing. As of 2008, it’s one of only fourteen (14) sleep centers in the U.S. solely dedicated to pediatric and adolescent studies; Merit recognizes the high importance of sleep in children.

The Merit Centers for Sleep Health have been performing pediatric and adolescent sleep studies for over ten years. Although all of Merit's sleep technicians and polysomnographers have been trained for testing children at any of the Merit locations, Merit has developed both a specially trained professional team and specially designed sleep testing facility dedicated to the very unique needs and the testing for sleep disorders of pediatrics and adolescents. Merit's pediatric and adolescent Medical Director, Dr. Anna Ivanenko, a nationally recognized pediatric sleep specialist and psychiatrist, oversees the program to ensure the timely and accurate identification and diagnosis of over 100 different types of sleep disorders that can affect children.

It is during sleep when a child’s body generates the cells necessary in order to grow and develop normally. Merit Center for Sleep Health’s Pediatric Sleep Disorder Program is specifically designed and tailored to children, adolescents and their families who may be experiencing issues with sleep patterns. Merit is able to effectively diagnose and treat children of all ages, providing a better night’s sleep for the entire family.
